The Diagnostic Review
The Diagnostic Review is a defined engagement for families, business owners, and professional practices whose planning involves more than a standard estate plan can resolve. It is not a consultation, and it is not a sales call. It is a scoped, fixed-fee engagement that produces a written assessment of your situation, the structural issues that need attention, and the recommended path forward. Most clients use it to decide whether — and how — to engage longer-term advisory counsel. Many do; some don't. Either outcome is a successful one.
What happens next
- 01You complete a short intake.
We ask for enough detail to make the conversation productive — ownership structures, family circumstances, approximate estate value, and any specific concerns driving the inquiry.
- 02We schedule a working session.
Typically ninety minutes, conducted by video or in person at our Frisco office. Both attorney and CPA perspectives are at the table.
- 03We deliver a written assessment.
Within ten business days of the session, you receive a structured document identifying the key planning issues, the options for addressing each one, and our specific recommendations.
- 04You decide what to do next.
The Diagnostic Review is a scoped, fixed-fee engagement; the specific fee and credit terms are confirmed in the engagement letter when you book. If you choose to engage further, a portion of the Diagnostic Review fee is credited toward qualifying follow-on advisory engagements. If you choose not to engage further, you keep the assessment and use it however you see fit. Either outcome is a successful one.
